Tim Fetters – Chief Executive Officer

Tim has 31 years of sales, marketing, operations, and business management experience in distribution and manufacturing businesses. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and attended Indiana University Kelley School of Business’ executive development program. Tim is past president and an active member of the Los Angeles Society of Coatings Technology.

Shawn Zeigler – Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Shawn’s primary responsibilities include heading Terra Firma’s Finance team, tax compliance, managing Human Resources and information technology, along with assisting in strategic planning, risk management and special projects. Shawn obtained his CPA license and began his career in public accounting, an industry he remained in for over 20 years. Shawn graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and the University of Baltimore with a master’s degree in Taxation.

William Chestnutt – Chief Commercial Officer

William works closely with the CEO to create, communicate, and implement Terra Firma’s overall direction and vision. Focusing on the company’s day-to-day operations, William directs inventory management, sales, current supplier relationships, and new business. William started with the company in 1999 and served various roles.  He was President until being promoted to CCO in 2022. William started his career in the distribution business in 1990 after earning a bachelor’s degree in Business at Longwood College.

Noel Shahnazarian – President, Canada

Noel began his career in the food industry as a laboratory technician, R&D and quality control. Prior to establishing Northspec Chemicals (now part of Terra Firma), Noel was at Canada Colors and Chemicals in marketing and sales management positions; he was one of the main instruments of the successful and profitable growth of the CCC specialty division. Noel graduated in 1987 from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a minor in food science.

Patrick Kelly – President, USA

Patrick has been in the chemical distribution business for 31 years. Patrick joined the company from Ashland Chemical where he was Director of Sales and over his 15 years there held various roles of increasing responsibility. Patrick is from Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Miami University. In addition, he attended the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Executive Development program. Patrick is a member of the American Coatings Association and active on various committees.

Julia Williams – Executive Vice President Operations

Julia Williams joined the Terra Firma family in 2017. In her role as EVP Operations, Julia is responsible for managing key accounts and principal relationships. She also manages ERP initiatives, customer care, pricing, new product line rollouts, and supply chain. In addition, she plays an integral role in our social media presence, regulatory communications and ensures continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with Responsible Distribution through work with the NACD. Julia attended Georgia State University and graduated with a BBA in Management.

John Lukens – Chief Technologies Officer

John focuses on the strategic marketing of raw materials into progressive end use applications, with particular emphasis on highlighting our portfolio shift toward sustainability. Formerly the President & CEO of D.N. Lukens, Inc., John was instrumental in the company’s involvement in the NACD and Responsible Distribution as Code Coordinator. With a Boston University undergraduate degree and Babson MBA, John gained post-graduate certificates from Northeastern University’s Environmental Science Program leading to a CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification and the University of New Hampshire’s Sustainability Institute.

Mike Barnes – Vice President, Strategic Sales

As VP of Strategic Accounts, Mike is responsible for developing and coordinating the business with our national accounts in the CASE and plastic markets. With over 30 years of experience in a number of specialty chemical distribution companies, Mike has held various, progressive roles in various markets including Industrial Chemical and Fine Ingredients, Health and Nutrition, and CASE.  Mike attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a BSBA dual major in Marketing and Transportation & Logistics.

Kevin Trainor – Vice President Sales, East

Kevin develops and executes our suppliers’ business growth strategies, manages current supplier relationships, and forms and secures business relationships with new suppliers. Kevin worked as a bench chemist, technical service manager, and in sales management. Kevin has strong application knowledge in resins, fillers, surfactants, rheology modifiers, photo-initiators, conditioning agents, specialty additives, and pigments. Kevin received a degree in chemistry from Iona College.

Jeff Moore – Vice President Sales, West

Jeff has worked in the chemical distribution industry for 32 years – with 22 years in the Asian specialty chemical industry, primarily in South East Asia managing diverse large scale distribution operations. Jeff graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver and attended the Kellogg International Masters of Management Program in Bangkok, Thailand.

Robert Jacksteit – Executive VP Sales & Marketing, Canada

With 25 years experience in the chemicals industry, Robert has a strong background in the polyurethane industry along with adhesives, coating additives and pigment businesses in various roles within the Chemicals and Polymers divisions at Bayer MaterialScience. He started his career as a Chemist with Guardsman Products, now part of Sherwin WIlliams, developing UV curable coatings for wood applications. Robert holds a B.Sc.Eng in Engineering Chemistry from Queen’s University.

Joseph Loncar – Executive Vice President, New Technology & Strategic Accounts, Canada

Joseph started work in the chemical industry as lab supervisor, and after years of inorganic formulating, he moved to a custom dispersion facility. While there, he developed pigment based dispersions destined for coating and paint formulas in the CASE market followed by his tenure in the powder coating industry for developing eco-friendly thermoset formulas for general industrial, light/heavy appliance and heavy machinery. Joseph graduated from York University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science.
